Die spotting presses are used with various applications, especially for the verification and manufacturing of molds and dies. In addition to the dimensions defined according to the mold or die to be proved, the required force is generally lower than in production presses. These items focus on checking the contacting surfaces between the lower and upper ports of the die. Spotting presses are also defined by their exigent characteristics when it comes to stopping and guiding positions. Next, molds are less exigent in guiding, with column guides normally being used. Gravity dies casting is a metal casting process that uses the force of gravity to fill a mold with molten metal. In this process, the mold, also known as a die, is positioned vertically / horizontally and the molten metal is poured into the mold through a pouring cup or sprue. The metal then flows into the mold cavities under the influence of gravity, solidifying it into the desired shape.
Gravity die casting is used to produce complex and accurate parts with good surface finish, dimensional accuracies and eliminates blue holes and Porosity. It is commonly used to produce aluminum and zinc parts and can be used to cast other metals such as lead, magnesium, and copper alloys.
